If I told you that, by looking into the headlights of a Mitsubishi Outlander you’ll be able to see into the car’s soul. Would you believe me? Only kidding, don’t go try it. You will probably end up blind if the Outlander has a hid system. Well, in a way headlights are a key element in the out look of a vehicle. Headlight design have come a long way since the early 1930’s, BMW introduced the halo, and Audi now leads the way with LEDs.
Recently, there has been a huge buzz on www.Mitsubishiforum.com about getting a 2007-2009 Mitsubishi Outlander headlight made. Dash Z Racing has been working with DEOUTLANDER, one of the members from the forum to get the process started. We have hit a road block on this subject because the headlight manufacturer requires a huge amount of at least over 300 pre-sold sets in order to even start the design process. If Dash Z Racing had a magic pencil that was able to design Outlander headlights we would have made them long ago, but for now we can only work with the manufacturer.
At this time we also need feedback from everyone. Should the headlights have halos? Should the headlights have leds? Both? Are we looking for projector headlights or none projector headlights? Should we produce a black housing headlight only or chrome should be made as well? Should the headlights be made for the base model? What if the vehicle already has a factory hid system? The more traffic and feedback we get, the more the manufacturer will take us seriously. Please post your suggestions in the comment section. Hopefully everyone can come to an agreement on something soon and we can get designs started on Outlander headlights.

We already have 13 people willing to pay $300 for a set of HID LED HALO Headlights. If you produce a design of what it will look like and post it here it would aid in getting you more pre-orders and sales. Mitsubishi owners are known to be big spenders in aftermarket parts so this would be a wise decision to produce aftermarket lights.

This car would look so much better with some angel eyes too.

HID Projectors. I’m thinking the LED’s may not look to OEM, and will look to much like bling add-ons which I don’t like personally.
I am willing to go for a subtle Halo effect.
Main reason for Us Canadians is a STOCK HID projector because until the 2010 Outlander there have been NO HID option in any model from 2007-2009. Only the Top END 2010 XLS ($40K +) Has the option.
Headlight housing should be just BLACK
Projector lens would be in high demand; since the dealer nor any aftermarket source is currently selling this option.
Yes I believe that this would be an excellent item for our vehicles. I know of several others that would benefit fron this product going into production. The HID (projector OR non-projector), HALO, with black bezzel/housing, would be a good combination. I will buy a set as soon as they’re available!
Yes, please produce. Make available for base model ES, HID projector would look great, black housing headlight with halo. I could buy a kit but projector housing would “legalize” many of us that need to pass an inspection on our light dispersal.

I would love to get a set of these for my 08! Now that the 2010 models are out with the projector lens, a product like this would be great for the aftermarket upgrade on 07-09 outlanders.

Also a mitsubishi forum member. I’m very interested in the possibility of halo/led type headlights for the 07-09 outie. If you don’t mind some things to consider:
drl issue–include a drl bypass to go to the led’s/halo and switch over to the hid itself when main headlight switch is turned on. Maybe in the form of a harness or a circuit built in to the headlight housing itself. This is one of the more irritating issues we have right now.
Please produce a black housing LED HID HALO Headlights I would buy two pairs because I own two outlanders.
Projectors with black housing would be awesome, I love my HID’s but dont like the reflector type, Im tired of people flashing there high beams at me thinking my high beams are on. HALO rings would be nice, just wondering how you would replace them if they burned out ?

Produce a projector HID upgrade for 2007-2009 Outlander for $500 or less and I will buy. I have a 2007 LS model with halogen lights. $300 is probably the sweet spot where the number of interested buyers will jump.
