How To Smoke Car Tail Lights And Motorcycle Tail Lights

Posted by Koneko Kumamoto On April - 24 - 2010

Step 1.

Remove the tail lights from the vehicle.

Step 2.

Clean the tail lights.  Make sure to do a good job on cleaning the tail lights so the smoke paint spray can go on the tail lights with a even smooth finish.

Step 3.

You’re ready to paint.  Make sure you’re not in a small room because there will be heavy fumes.  Also be prepared with at least two bottles of the smoke paint spray just in case you want a darker look on the tail lights.  Paint with very light coats and let it dry in between. About 3 to 4 coats on will get you a light smoke finish.  The paint runs easy so make sure you’re running light coats.   Once you’re all good and done with the painting, let it cure for 24-48 hours for the paint to dry.

Step 4.

Once the job is done wet sand is optional.  Mount the tail lights back on to the vehicle buff out the tail lights to get the complete finish look on your vehicle.
