The Racing Roots Of The Honda CBR 600RR

Posted by Koneko Kumamoto On February - 27 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

Back when I was a baby the Honda CBR 600RR was developed from the Honda RC211V MotoGP bike.  Inspired by the Honda RC211V MotoGP bike the CBR 600RR was made to challenge every curve on the road.  Underneath the shell of the CBR 600RR lie MotoGP technologies that were made available for the first time on a production motorcycle such as the unit pro-link rear suspension and dual stage fuel injection.  The Honda CBR 600RR had the look of a street bike with the heart of a racing demon machine. CBR600RR... more

The Legendary Suzuki GSX-R 750

Posted by Koneko Kumamoto On February - 27 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

The legend of the Suzuki GSX-R 750 started way back in 1985.  The o.g. model carried a easy lightweight aluminum alloy frame, twin discs with 4-pot calipers and 18-inch tires both front and rear.  The bike featured an oil-cooled engine to save weight as compared with the heavier water-cooled engines of the time.  Then in 1986 the first model was introduced to the USA.  The Suzuki GSX-R 750 in 1996 introduced to us a new twin-spar frame with a new strong compact lightweight engine incorporated... more

The CBR929RR was created by Honda for the rider who wanted nothing but the best. Weighing in at 379 pounds with 150 hp this fuel injected bad boy was once said to be the best handling production sport bikes of it’s time.  The CBR929RR was very popular because it had advanced programmed fuel injection (PGM-FI) and electronic digital ignition maximize power output and offer immediate throttle response in any gear.  I personally liked the twin-spar extruded aluminum frame on the CBR929RR. Protect Your Bike With Motorcycle Frame Sliders

Posted by Koneko Kumamoto On January - 31 - 20102 COMMENTS

To most of us our bikes are what you call a “money pit”, it’s where most of our pay checks go at the end of the month.  We spend tons of cash and time on our bikes to make it look the way we want it to.  The most painful thing we hate to see is our pride and joy on its side, the nerve pinching feeling of dropping our bikes.  Even a minor drop can cause over $1000.00 in damages and not to mention a couple of weeks in the shop. Frame sliders are the perfect answer to making... more

Brake & Clutch Motorcycle Levers

Posted by Koneko Kumamoto On January - 24 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

Aftermarket motorcycle levers have become way beyond basic,  it’s a straight out fashion accessory!  To begin with, there’s chrome, black, and even painted carbon fiber to make the brake & clutch levers look carbon fiber.  This makes sense because levers are items that stick right out at the ends of the handlebars, you can’t miss them.  Begging for attention, shouting out “look at me, look at me.” In my opinion, if you’re going to install a pair of levers... more
