Let’s begin, before you remove the factory intake please make sure your engine has been cooled. In order to maximize the amount of access we suggest removing the wheel closest to the air intake or just turn the steering wheel away from the intake. To begin the procedure, first locate the factory air intake box under the hood. Next, detach the retain clips on the intake box opening the cover and removing the factory filter. Follow the factory intake pipe toward the engine compartment; find the plastic molding holding it to the engine. You need to loosen the hose clamp with a flathead screwdriver to remove the factory intake. If the vehicle’s factory intake has wires or tubes attached to the pipe please make sure to disengage them. Undo the screws found in the air box and take off the air box. Last, unscrew the protruding screws that held the air box to the fender, this will make sure they do not tear the new filter. Take the new intake pipe and align it so that the filter is positioned towards the outer part of the vehicle neighboring the fender. Situate the rubber sleeve given with your new intake onto the appropriate end of the pipe. Position the hose clamps semi attached giving you easy access. You can always tighten them later. Now attach the hose from the new intake and connect the new intake to the throttle body, please make sure the sleeves are firmly attached. Make sure the new intake is in place then connect the hose to where you disengaged the breather tube. Glide the new filter onward to the intake pipe giving it enough space for the hose clamp to secure the new filter tight to the intake pipe. Finally take all the hose clamps to complete the installation.
