In a time long, long, long ago back in 2001 the GSX-R1000 (the world famous super bike) replaced the GSX-R1100 from Suzuki’s GSX-R series of motorcycles. The GSX-R1000 was born into the motorcycle race world with a 988 cc 4-stroke, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC 16-valve engine. Over the years the GSX-R1000 has evolved into a 999 cc, 4-stroke, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve bad ass machine. Now, for those of you who have no clue what that means, let me break it down for you. With this engine the GSX-R1000 can reach a top speed of 179 mph, a 1/4 mile time of 10.1 seconds at 141.7 mph, and a 0 to 60 mph) in 3 seconds. So pretty much you’re riding a rocket between your legs.

Raise your hand if you want this beast to be able to do 0 to 60 in two seconds. For those of you who like to personalize your bike to give it a certain look, Dash Z Racing has tons of accessories that you can add on to the GSX-R1000. The most important accessory I believe to install on to any bike is the frame slider. Just in case you ever drop your bike, the frame slider can protect your bike against scratches. It’s a easy install onto any bike, better safe than sorry. Check out all the other accessories for the GSX-R1000.
