Hey guys, hope you’re having a great summer. The weather has been great making it perfect for cruising. And if you are going to cruise please make sure your ride is not some clown mobile! We girls know what we like. For those of you out there you know exactly what I am talking about. We all seen it, the Civics painted in orange or lime green. There is no need to paint your Civic orange or lime green, it’s a Civic for Christ sake, it’s not magically going to transform into a Lambo just because you painted it Lambo colors. And what’s the deal with those huge wings? Again, it’s a Civic and not no B16 fighter jet! I’m sure all of us wanted to be pilots but come on in a civic? That’s just ridiculous. Don’t even get me started on Lambo doors for a Civic either.

To give you an illustration of how things should be done for the right price and style let’s use the 1996 Honda Civic as an example. To give your ride a nice clean JDM look what you want to do is first change out the stock headlights to black housing headlights. Next add yellow JDM fog lights to the bumper. You will also need to change out the grill for something sportier and paint it according to the color of your ride. With the price tag of $25 bucks from Dash Z Racing you can’t go wrong. To complete the front end you will need to add an extension, the Mugen style bumper lip to the bumper of the vehicle. You can’t just stop there, side skirts also have to be purchased and installed. Extreme Dimensions has a huge selection to choose from. I personally would suggest the JDM buddy side skirts. Moving to the rear of the car, I would recommend the Racing Series lower skirt lip from VIS Racing. The front bumper lip, side skirts, and rear lip should be paint to match the color of your ride. To complete the rear end you need to swap out the stock tail lights with red and clear JDM style tail lights. And finally the last step is to lower your car with some TEIN lowing springs.

There are also some other things you might want to add on like racing rims. Now on that part you’re on your own because there are just way too many rims to pick from out there. And if you have a need for speed there is always the intake system and turbo. Oh don’t get the almighty Dash Z Racing sticker for those 25 extra ponies.
